Day 4

Today we woke at 7:00am after a night of comfortable sleep. We then wrapped up in our bath robes and headed for the glorious `monogendorial` bathrooms, that are thoroughly enjoyed by most.
We travelled by train to Tokyo Station and from there we traversed to Maihama Station. Upon arrival we were greeted by the majestic castle of Tokyo Disneylan. Disneyland was packed to its extremities. There was time only for a few rides, but the general atmosphere and the appearance of many well known Disney characters mad tehe day a roaring sucecss.
One of the `crowd favourites` called Big Thunder Mountain was an experience to behold. Unfortunately, the most anticipated ride, Splash Mountain, is shut until December. For most people, the waiting time for Big Thunder Mountain was approximately two hours, however, for a small break away group, consisting of Tom, Mitchell, Courtney & Timandra, the wait was shortened dramatically by a devious choice of rides, which had shorter lines and proved to be just as fun.
By 4:00, most of the group were ready to depart, so we headed for Tokyo Tower, which was the `high` light. Tokyo Tower wasn`t for the light hearted. The upper most lookout point is 250m high and had amazing panoramic views across Tokyo. At one spot in the tower, there was a glass floor that you could stand on and look 250m straight down to the ground.
Matt Ambler celebrated his birthday with a free slice of cake, courtesy of the Tokyo Tower staff.
We finished the evening with a spectacular neon light show in Ginza. The streets are lined with hundreds of neon lights advertising the products sold in the stores below. There were such brands as Gucci, Prada and Bvglari just to name a few.
We then retired back to the Ryokkan. A couple of people had sore throats from screaming on the rides at Disneyland, so under the escort of Mr. Rankin, we dressed in our Yukata`s (Japanese traditional clothing that looks like bath robes) and hit the streets in search of aid in the form of throat losengers. We soon returned to the hotel with everyone feeling much better.
Everyone retired once again, ready for tomorrow`s exciting Bullet Train Trip.

I have just received an email from Brad Rankin and he wanted me to let everyone know that they can't get access to the blogspot from their hotel. They will find an internet cafe over the next day or two.
